The Chapter list server will be used only when messages are important and highly relevant to the Chapter membership. Posting on the Chapter list server will be limited to Chapter members or its Executive Officers and messages are moderated by the Chapter's Membership Chairperson. Non-Chapter members can request posting their message through the Membership Chairperson. Messages considered for posting include: 1. Chapter, Division, or Society information and activities 2. Fisheries meetings or workshops 3. Continuing professional education opportunities 4. Fisheries management or regulation information 5. Associated professional society events 6. Publications of interest 7. Fisheries news The timeliness of the information will be a major factor in determining its importance; messages that must be received within less than 30 days or considered extremely time sensitive will be given a higher priority for posting. Messages with an intermediate time scale (1 to 4 mo) shall be discretionary. We shall not post employment information or information that is considered non-time sensitive (> 4 mo) or archival in nature. Using CalNeva
To post a message to all the list members, send email to calneva@fisheriessociety.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to CalNeva
Subscribe to CalNeva by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
